Haj Ministry Started Their Preparations For Umrah Season 2012
UmrahNews: This time, the Haj Ministry has already started their arrangements intended for the Umrah season in year 2012 in advance, even before the Haj pilgrims of 2011 have left Makkah and Madinah. In the preparations to welcome the new season, the first step of the Haj Ministry is to evaluate the performance of Umrah service providing companies. Adnan Hariri, The Director of the Department for the Affairs of Umrah Establishments in the Haj Ministry, informed that the evaluation formalities of Umrah service providers already started from Saturday in Jeddah as well as Makkah, while the evaluation process in Madinah is expected to start after two weeks.
These measures was taken by the ministry with an order of Crown Prince Naif, the deputy premier and minister of interior, to evaluate the Umrah service providing establishments before issuing visas to them in the beginning of every Umrah season. This is beneficial because any company with some negative observations in its previous performance would be dealt with in coordination with the Passport Department.
The new season will start in the middle of January, 2012. During the last season in 2011 there was a huge entry of Umrah pilgrims, which was 50 percent more than 2010. The market experts believe that in 2012 the number of pilgrims will be more than the previous year. The Umrah organizing companies operating abroad have already begun to contact them for further details on Umrah Packages. For the upcoming season, Indications are that there will be a large turnout of Umrah Pilgrims from Europe, Asia as well as Africa apart from the Arab and other Muslim countries.
